AI agent development. Move the work forward.

An AI agent can do more than reply to a message. It can read an incoming request, find the right information and carry out an agreed task across your software. We start with one useful workflow and define exactly what the agent is allowed to do.

AI workflow automation. One useful task at a time.

Start with a recurring task your team can explain. We define the inputs, the allowed actions and what a successful result looks like before connecting the tools.

01

Sort incoming requests

Classify an inquiry, collect relevant context and prepare it for the right person to review.

02

Prepare follow-up work

Draft a reply or summarize an approved document, with a person reviewing the output where needed.

03

Update connected tools

Move approved information between business systems, with clear permissions, logs and a recovery path.

What should a first AI agent project include?

One defined workflow, the required integrations, permission boundaries, a test set and a review process. A pilot gives your team evidence about reliability and running costs before expanding the scope.

A direct answer

What does ai agent development include?

Melos develops AI agents for defined business workflows across approved tools. The work includes task design, integrations, permission limits, evaluation and human review. A first project starts with one measurable task, such as preparing an inquiry for review, rather than unrestricted access to every system.

Scope, delivery and acceptance

What should you agree before starting?

What affects the cost?

Integration depth, data preparation, the actions allowed and evaluation requirements drive development effort. Running costs depend on model calls, tool usage, task volume and monitoring. We estimate a bounded pilot separately from a broader rollout so the expansion decision can follow observed results.

What determines the timeline?

Before development, agree the inputs, permitted actions, test cases and definition of completion. Test the agent with representative examples and review failed or uncertain runs. The pilot can remain in draft-only mode until the business is satisfied with the approval and recovery process.

Checks to include in your brief

  • The agent stops when required information or permission is missing.
  • A repeated request cannot create duplicate records or repeat an already-completed action.
  • External messages and sensitive changes stay behind the approval boundary agreed in the scope.
  • The team can inspect a task’s outcome, cost and failures before expanding access.

Agent build$4,500starting point

A bounded, testable workflow with approved tools, logging and human review where needed.

Pilot

$4,500one-time

One useful agent workflow

  • One bounded task
  • Up to 2 tool connections
  • Pilot testing and runbook
Most common scope

Production

$8,500one-time

A monitored production workflow

  • Several tool calls
  • Approval and failure paths
  • Logs, alerts and launch support

Multi-workflow

$15,000+one-time

A connected agent system

  • Multiple workflows or teams
  • Role and access design
  • Phased rollout and optimization
Monthly maintenance / care

$450/mo for monitoring, dependency updates, test runs and incident triage. Model, API, hosting and connected-tool charges are separate.

What changes the quote
  • We start with a clearly defined task and measurable success condition.
  • High-risk actions remain behind an agreed human approval step.
  • The quote changes with tool count, data quality, compliance and volume.

Prices are in USD and are starting estimates, not a guaranteed quote. Third-party hosting, software, model/API usage, payment processing, directory fees and taxes are not included unless a proposal says so.

The work

A practical scope. A clear purpose.

These are the areas we cover. We agree the deliverables, integrations and responsibilities for your project before work begins.

A workflow worth automating

We map the current process, its exceptions and the result you need. Sometimes a simple automation is a better fit than an agent.

Connected tools

Approved connections to the systems involved, such as your CRM, help desk or document store, with only the access the workflow requires.

Human review where it matters

Review steps for sensitive changes, clear stopping conditions and a way for your team to take over.

Logs and practical testing

Test cases for normal and failed runs, visible activity records and a recovery path when a connected service is unavailable.

The approach

Here’s where we start.

01

Choose a bounded task and define success.

02

Connect the tools and approval steps.

03

Run a pilot before expanding the workflow.

Your questions

Good to know
before we begin.

What is the difference between a chatbot and an AI agent?+

A chatbot mainly helps through conversation. An agent can also use approved tools to complete tasks. Some projects combine both in the same interface.

Can an AI agent work without supervision?+

Some low-risk tasks can run automatically after testing. We agree which actions need approval and how your team monitors the workflow.

What affects the ongoing cost?+

Model usage, task volume, hosting and third-party integrations affect running costs. These are estimated separately from development and reviewed during a pilot.
